Meet Andrea!

Andrea Horvath celebrated her 50th year of attendance at The ARC of Northwest Indiana this month. Andrea first started attending pre-vocational services at The ARC of NWI in March of 1965 when she was only 19 years old. Andrea currently attends the location in Crown Point five days a week and is served by IPMG Case Manager Caterina McElwain. Andrea is known for working hard and completing her tasks at a high level of quality. Andrea has made many friends over the years. She is a member of the “Pink Ladies Club” and she enjoys going out into the community weekly with her staff at the center. When asked about her favorite jobs, Andrea stated that she enjoys working with the shop rags and the eyeglass cases.

On March 3rd, 2015 Andrea’s brother and sister-in-law arranged for cupcakes to be brought to the center so she could celebrate this huge achievement with her co-workers. Andrea was extremely surprised and proud of her accomplishment. We are, too! Congratulations, Andrea!
