Professional Background

I am a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Social Work and have 24 years of experience in the field of social services. I began my career as a school social worker for the Jay School Corporation. In that position, I assisted at-risk students and their families in order to improve student success at school. It was in that role that I began working closely with Special Services/Special Education and with students receiving Medicaid Waivers. After moving to Columbus, Indiana in 2000, I started my career in the field of Medicaid Waiver Case Management. Over the past 14 years, my roles have included that of Case Manager, Supervisor, and currently, Director of Training and Outreach. It is my pleasure to be a part of IPMG and to provide quality services to the Individuals we serve.

My current responsibilities as Director of Training and Outreach include ensuring that IPMG Case Managers receive the most current and up-to-date training and information, which enables IPMG Case Managers to become experts in their field and to empower individuals served to understand and access quality, efficient and coordinated services that result in the betterment of their lives. I am also responsible for ensuring that IPMG is using information and input received from Individuals served, families, guardians, and other stakeholders to direct ongoing quality improvement of the services we provide.

It is my strong belief that all persons have the right to freedom of choice and the right to pursue their individual hopes, dreams, and desires.
