Sep 03, 2019
IPMG is proud to announce that Jeremy Wines, IPMG Manager of Field Support is the September, 2019 Case Manager of the Month. Jeremy Wines was nominated by Lisa Bennett, a service provider, Angela J. Kennaugh, an individual served and Christine Gitchel, Angela's Daughter.
In their nomination they shared the following: "Jeremy is great at communicating. He texts, emails, calls, whatever the individual needs he does his best to be there. He worked hard to get Angela K. a lift for her car, even though this process was new to him. He is excited to learn and willing to go the extra mile for the individuals he serves. He loves his job and it shows."
Jeremy states, "I am honored to be nominated for Case Manager of the month. I began working at IPMG in 2008 and have been in the field for 20-years. I graduated from Ball State with a Bachelor’s in Social Work. I began my career in this field while in college working in a group home. I grew up with my parents being deaf and seen how they were treated at times by others. That lead me to a desire to help others advocate for themselves.I enjoy meeting new families, discussing what they might need for services and obtaining those services for them. There are challenges to each situation that motivates me to assist the family so that their loved one is supported as much as possible to remain or gain more independence.
I have been married for 14 ½ years to my wife, Alanna. We have been blessed with having two children, Jackson and Anna, who keep us busy! We also have a dog, Bear that we got just before we got married. I love doing things with family, playing games and coaching the mighty Cyclones with Special Olympics basketball. I’ve been coaching for 20-years and started my coaching career with Delaware County Special Olympics with now my son is assisting as well!
