Employee Owner of the Day - October 12, 2021

Oct 12, 2021

In honor of National Case Management Week, IPMG is highlighting three Employee Owners this week!

Introducing IPMG's first Employee Owner of the Day: Amanda Lawson!

Amanda was nominated for this award by the parent of an Individual she serves. The nomination stated, "Amanda has been our son David’s case manager for over 10 years. She has traveled along with us on this challenging journey through many ups and downs. She has been one of David’s biggest cheerleaders! Amanda’s knowledge and experience regarding waiver services has been invaluable to us. We can always rely on her to ensure that all areas of services in his budget are covered. She is always available to answer questions and provide information. We are very lucky and grateful that she is David’s case manager!"

Amanda writes, "I am honored to be nominated as Employee Owner of the Day. I have worked for IPMG since its beginning and recently celebrated 15 years of employment with them. I have built many long-term friendships and relationships that I value greatly, and I am fortunate to be able to work with individuals that I have served for many years.

I graduated from IU Bloomington in 1997 with a degree in Recreation with emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. I spent one year working in a nursing facility before going to work for a residential provider in Indianapolis. I began my case management career in Bloomington with Factors Limited in 1999. I moved back to the Noblesville/Fishers area in 2001 and continued to work for Factors Limited until the IPMG start-up in 2006.

I have been married to my husband, Jason, for 18 years. Jason owns Stonesmiths Inc., which is a Granite and Marble company located in Noblesville that specializes in custom countertops. We have two children together, and I also have two step children. Chandler is 23 and recently graduated from Ball State with her Master’s degree in Social Work. Chase is 22 and a senior at Ball State majoring in Construction Management. Morgan is 17 and a senior at Fishers High School. We plan to visit several universities with her this fall: she plans to study Forensic Science. Morgan figure skated with Indy Central Figure Skating Club for 12 years and just recently hung up her skates! She now works for my husband after school at Stonesmiths. Mason is 13 and in the 8th grade at Riverside Jr. High in Fishers. He dives for Fishers Diving Club and recently competed at the Junior Olympic Diving National Championships at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis. Mason also races cross-country dirt bikes with the IXCR racing series.

Our family enjoys spending weekends and vacations on our boat or in our RV.We’ve owned an RV for 15 years, and it has allowed us to travel to places as a family that we would not otherwise have been able to visit. We love staying in Gulf Shores, Alabama, which is our favorite destination for Spring Break and Fall Break. We Plan to spend two weeks this winter in Fort Myers, Florida where we will visit Jason’s parents who live near-by in Naples. When we are on our boat, we prefer going to Dale Hollow Lake in Kentucky/Tennessee.
I am grateful for the opportunity that IPMG has offered me. With IPMG, I have been able to balance family life while doing a job that I truly enjoy.

Congratulations, Amanda! We are so blessed to have you on our team!
