Introducing IPMG's Employee Owner of the Month of April: Kelley Kearney!
Kelley was nominated for this award by the parent of an Individual she serves. The nomination stated, "This is what I will tell you about Kelley Kearney. She is the absolute best case manager in the world. She is always there for us. It doesn't matter when. I have been able to communicate with her whenever I need to. She takes care of not only my sons needs but mine as well as a sometimes struggling parent/guardian. Nothing is ever decided without my knowledge when it comes to Kelley. We have regular meetings but she is available to me whenever. I try not to take advantage of that. Over the years Kelley has become more like family to us and my biggest fear would be to ever lose her. She has always exceeded our expectations. You would be lucky to have a hundred more like her. Kelley keeps us informed and tells us everything. She is quick to take care of things in a diplomatic way if there is ever a problem. She is business like in that way, but she is so kind and caring. She is always supportive. I feel like Kelley truly cares about us a family and she is like family to us. Matt (individual) loves Kelley and always has."
Kelley writes, "I am thankful to be nominated for IPMG Employee Owner of the month. I have worked for IPMG since the beginning! I will be celebrating 15 years of employment this year! I feel like the lucky one that gets to work with such amazing individuals and families!
I have been married for almost twenty years to my husband (Matt) that I meet at Purdue. We have two sons, Ethan (16) and Evan (14) and a variety of pets. The flexibility of this job has allowed me to feel like a working mom and a stay at home mom at the same time while raising my boys. In my free time, I love to travel with my family and friends. I also enjoy watching my sons participate in tennis, basketball, band and school plays.
I graduated from Purdue University (BOILER UP) in 1998 with a degree in Psychology. I grew up in northern Indiana and returned there after college. I spent three years working in a self-contained classroom with youth with a variety of behavioral needs. I got married in 2001, moved to Kokomo, and started working for a local provider as a QIDP. During those years I learned about case management and knew I wanted this opportunity. After my first son was born in 2005, I began working for a case management company. In 2006 I was hired by IPMG…..and I haven't looked back! I truly love this job, and can't imagine myself anywhere else. My co-workers are some of the best people that I know and are always willing to provide feedback and assistance when needed. My caseload is a very wide variety of abilities and ages (3 years old all the way up to 79 years old). I continue to learn new things every day from the individuals and families I serve. I am one lucky case manager to get the opportunity to get to know each one of them and be a part of their lives."
Congratulations, Kelley! We are so blessed to have you on our team!
