Introducing IPMG's Employee Owner of the Month of February: Theresa Wamhoff-Mitro!

Theresa was nominated for this award by the mother of an Individual she serves. The nomination stated, "Terri is my daughter Jessica's Case Manager. I have years of experience with case managers because I have a 46 year old son with Downs. I have never, until Terri, had a case manager who not only does what she says she will do, but she sees it immediately. She has it all under control. I know I can call her anytime and she will take care of a problem. This helps me trust that Jess is being cared for at all time. Thank you Terri."

Theresa writes, "How exciting to be nominated for Employee Owner of the Month for a position I truly enjoy! I have been with IPMG close to five years. IPMG truly gives each one of their employees the support, resources and recognition we deserve. I cannot imagine working for any other case management company.

I began working with individuals with disabilities almost 25 years ago. While working towards my Bachelor's degree, I was a DSP and worked my way up to Director as I finished my Master's degree in Healthcare Administration.

As case managers know, case management requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Our job is so diverse. We work with our clients to identify goals which may focus on physical, mental, and/or emotional needs, and to assist our clients in getting the services they need to achieve their goals. I believe one of the greatest roles case managers have is advocating for our clients' needs. As a case manager, we might experience few rewards, but by increasing our clients' level of functioning and capabilities, case managers help to ensure an optimal level of independence for those we serve - and that alone, is reward enough."
