Employee Owner of the Month: March

Mar 01, 2021

Introducing IPMG's Employee Owner of the Month of March: Jennifer Wells!

Jennifer was nominated for this award by the parents of an Individual she serves. The nomination stated, "Jennifer knows exactly how to get our son motivated. She has gone the extra mile to help him cope with living in an assisted home, after living with his parents for 40 years. She has helped him make a video to demonstrate how and why he pulverizes pine needles to make pillows. She is on the ball in every way. She thinks like a young person, but at the same time is very knowledgeable. She does a fantastic job. Brad loves her and so do we, as his guardians. What a blessing she has been for our son." Jennifer writes, "I am extremely honored to be nominated for IPMG Employee Owner of the Month. I am blessed to have a tremendous caseload of wonderful families to work with. I love that I get to advocate for each and every one of them as we find their best life. This career has blessed me with a flexibility that has allowed me to care for my own family and friends when needed.

I graduated from college in 2008 with a major in Business and minor in Psychology. I expected my career to continue in the business world; as that is where I had spent most of my adult life working. I had previously worked for US Airways. I worked for US Airways for about 5 years or so. After 9/11, US Airway shut down and closed certain offices. After that, I began working with Anthem Insurance in Indianapolis. I was at Anthem for 9 years before my job was outsourced. It was a few years later that I was asked to care for my best friend, who had become paraplegic. I became a licensed home health aid in order to take care of my friend. Little did I know that, that was the start of a whole new world for me. I found a community of love and supportive individuals to work with on a daily basis that I never would have met otherwise. In time, I began working as an assistant scheduler for a provider, then a staff supervisor and now I am blessed to be a case manager. I love that I get up every morning to advocate for my amazing families.

I can only hope that I make an impact on each and every one of them, as they have certainly changed my life for the better."

Congratulations, Jennifer! We are so blessed to have you on our team! Nominate your IPMG Employee Owner at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/G5CGD96
