Employee Owner of the Month: March 2022
Mar 01, 2022
Introducing IPMG's Employee Owner of the Month of March: Ashley Rudd!
Ashley was nominated for this award by the guardian of an Individual she serves. The nomination stated, "Ashley is an outstanding case manager! She has energy, passion and commitment for her clients and it is obvious in the way she approaches her work and how she interacts with parents and guardians. Beyond her regular case management responsibilities (which she handles very effectively!), she has played a very important role in helping to coordinate the complex transition of the group home where my brother is a client. The parents and guardians have been so appreciative of everything she has done in this challenging process. She is the best!"
Ashley writes, "I am beyond humbled to be nominated by the sister/guardian of an individual I serve. I have been her brother’s case manager for going on five years now. My individual and his sister have been such a blessing to my life and I feel truly fortunate to know them both. My individual and his housemates were presented with some challenging changes over the course of several months. My individual, his sister, his housemates and their guardians worked with me over those months to make sure that they were all safe, secure, and that all their rights were being respected. As a team, we ensured that everyone got to stay in the homes they loved and with the people that had become family to them.
I began in this field approximately seven years ago when I became the program manager of a day program in Madison, IN. It was my first job working with our population and it was amazing how quickly I knew that I had found my niche in this world. I also got to work with several IPMG case managers and they blew me away with their kindness, knowledge, and advocacy skills. Now I have the opportunity to call those incredible women my co-workers and friends. They have taught me so many things over the years and I would not be where I am without their help and guidance over the years. I’ve also had the opportunity of having some phenomenal supervisors that have helped me build my confidence as a case manager and grow as a person. The joy and fulfillment I get from working with my individuals and their teams is indescribable. I’m so thankful for finding this field and company. I truly feel I belong and I’m making a difference.
On a personal note, I have been married to my husband for going on 10 years and I have three stepchildren and two grandchildren. We also have four dogs. I’m a member of First Baptist Church in North Vernon. I love to read, write poetry and short stories, journal, cook, workout, and my husband and I plan on purchasing an RV this spring so we can begin traveling the country."
Congratulations, Ashley! We are so blessed to have you on our team!
