Introducing IPMG's Employee Owner of the Month of May: Krissy Whiteley!

Krissy was nominated for this award by the parent of an Individual she serves. The nomination stated, "In the short time that Krissy has worked with my son, Mark, she has demonstrated professional competent, compassion, and empathy for Mark. She recently worked to help him obtain his CIH Waiver and helped him update his Personal-Centered Plan that help him continue to live a full life and reach his goals. Just recently when she discovered he didn't have a date to the Tim Tebow Prom, she volunteered to be his date. It made his night and helped him to feel included."

Krissy writes, "I must admit, being so new to case management and the company it is a shock to have been nominated for IPMG Employee Owner of the Month, but it is also a true honor for me. I love helping others and making their lives better. I want to thank the individual’s father that nominated me, this really means a lot to me. I was pleased to be able to attend the prom with the individual, I had a great time.

I have only been in the world of the Developmentally Disabled for about five years and at IPMG since Aug 2021. Prior to IPMG I was a Group Home Manager for the Developmentally Disabled. I am no stranger to the medical world though. I worked in the same Nursing Home for 13 years in many different positions, starting as basically a Candy Striper and working my way up to the manager of a Dementia Unit. Growing up I never knew this is the field I would end up in, I always wanted to be a teacher, but life finds a way to put us on the path we are supposed to be in. I am so thankful to have found IPMG and Case Management, I finally have a job that I love! I have already grown attached to my individuals and can’t wait to see what life brings for them in the future.

I moved to Southern Indiana from Northwest Indiana when I started working for IPMG, I look forward to exploring and getting to know the area better. I am excited to get out in nature to go hiking, camping, and/or kayaking; the terrain is much different than I am used to. I also enjoy playing all kinds of board, card, or dice games and my family and I have frequent game nights. I am an animal lover and have 2 cats and a dog. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and it continues all year round for me."
