Employee Owner of the Month: October

Oct 01, 2020

Introducing IPMG's Employee Owner of the Month of October: Kane Bentz!

Kane was nominated for this award by the family of an Individual he serves. The nomination stated, "Kane always goes above and beyond to help Charlotte. He's been there for us since we were brought in his case load. Charlotte just adores him and loves when he comes for a house visit. Whenever I have concerns or there are any problems he jumps right in and helps brainstorm ideas with me. I can call him upset or crying over something going on and by the time we get done talking he has me calm and comfortable with a new game plan. From the first time we met, his passion for what he does shines through. We are truly blessed to have Kane on our team!"

Kane writes, "It is very humbling to be nominated for Employee Owner of the Month. I have been with IPMG since September of 2016 and have enjoyed this endeavor more and more each day. Serving my Families and Individuals is the most rewarding experience, having a front row seat to growth, achievement and success. The wonderful relationships I have been blessed to develop is my favorite part.

I have been working for and with Individuals with Developmental Disabilities since late 2012. I began Medicaid Waiver Billing before working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP), and subsequently a Day Program Director. I am also a proud member of the Illinois Army National Guard, serving as a Gunnery Sergeant with Charlie Battery, 2nd Battalion, 122nd Field Artillery Regiment out of Chicago, IL. I have spent some time just about everywhere in the United States with big stops in Michigan (home), North Carolina, and Iowa. What I enjoy most about being a Case Manager is helping develop solutions for Families, becoming good friends with all of my Individuals, and being the first line of assistance when a family may need something; I derive great pride in being able to locate and acquire that help for them. I also cherish the great team of coworkers and colleagues I am fortunate to work with and for.

As a Michigan-American living in Northwest Indiana I am glad to remain close to my rather large family back home. I enjoy making music and playing hockey in my free time. When I am not working, I am working. Go Blue!"

Congratulations, Kane! We are so blessed to have you on our team! Nominate your IPMG Employee Owner at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/G5CGD96
