The 50th Anniversary of the Special Olympics State Games was held in Terre Haute from June 7th - June 9th. Nearly 3,000 athletes from across the state, all meet for friendship and competition in 8 sports: bocce, bowling, cycling, horseshoes, powerlifting, swimming, track & field, and volleyball. IPMG staff volunteered as lane attendants at the Terre Haute Bowling Center at Day 1 of the bowling competition and ensured the games ran smoothly in each lane.
