Program Manager, Wraparound Facilitation

Professional Background

I attended Purdue University graduating with a degree in Child Development and Family Studies with an emphasis on Individual and Family Development. Prior to working in Wraparound, I held several different social service positions including Supervised Visitation Facilitator and Coordinator, Supported Living and Group Home Manager for ID population, and Home and School-Based Case Manager/Skills Trainer. In 2013, I became a Wraparound Facilitator, working with youth funded by the Child Mental Health Initiative (CMHI) through the state Child Mental Health Wraparound (CMHW) program funded by Medicaid in 2014. I have been an approved Wraparound Facilitator for the state of Indiana since 2014, and subsequently served as a Wraparound Team Leader and Wraparound/Access Site Program Coordinator until joining IPMG to serve as the Program Manager of Wraparound Facilitation.

Responsibilities

My current role is responsible for developing and overseeing the Wraparound Facilitation division of IPMG. The goal is to grow the IPMG Wraparound program throughout the state of Indiana, ensuring IPMG adheres to the High-Fidelity Wraparound process while providing the best Wraparound experience possible for the Wraparound families with whom we partner. I collaborate with other IPMG employees and community service providers/stakeholders to provide pertinent information related to Wraparound trends and how those trends affect the community. I am also responsible for ensuring staff is consistently participating in all state-mandated supervision and training, monitoring the certification and re-certification process for Wraparound staff, and providing program updates to IPMG leadership.

Philosophy

My personal motto is: “Never say never and consider the impossible as a challenge,” so I’m dedicated to working with youth that everyone else has given up on. I believe in the Wraparound philosophy that “people don’t fail, plans do.” I also believe there are reasons for behaviors for which there are no excuses and if we can determine the reasons, we can change the behaviors. Wraparound defines needs as, “The holes in our hearts that drive us to do things we shouldn’t and keeps us from doing things we should.” I am dedicated to helping children and families learn to recognize their needs and working together to find ways to successfully meet them.
